Trained as an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist (UZIT), Lisa offers classes with the goal of creating a sense of greater inner peace and calm. Focusing on gentle and restorative yoga combining asana (postures), mindful movement, breath awareness, and meditation with restorative poses supported by props to enhance relaxation. Take some time for some self-care and renewal.

Stress and Burnout are concerning issues that overwhelmingly impact lawyers to an outsized degree. Levels of depression, addiction, and even suicide have been shown to be overly represented in the legal profession. Vicarious trauma can impact all lawyers, but compassion fatigue hits public interest lawyers--who work with people in trauma every day-- the hardest.

Finding your calm
Mindfulness practices have been shown to have long term impacts on stress response and the capacity for resilience. Mindfulness practices include guided breathing, mindful movement, and meditation, among many other practices. There is a mindfulness practice for everyone, though not everyone will connect with the same one. Once you find what works best for you, you will have a precious tool that you can use any time.
